Hush Interiors GM talks collaboration at NZIOB event

Last week, our General Manager of Hush Interiors Janine Branje was invited to present at an NZ Institute of Building event ‘Building Legends’, offering valuable insights on procurement, collaboration, pricing and reducing risk from a specialist subcontractor perspective.

Janine’s key message: “Early collaboration with specialist subcontractors and trades is key to identifying risks and opportunities during the planning phase. Considerations for our ceiling specialists need to be factored into the construction process from the start. For example, gravity and seismic considerations that can be non-negotiable – which is unique to their trade. Which is why early engagement matters.”  

The event brought together diverse perspectives on procurement and risk from across the construction industry, including client side consultants and main contractors, providing a comprehensive view on how to combat some of the challenges the industry is facing in the current climate.

Hush Interiors is sought after for their specialist skills and approach at events like these and Janine was also invited to judge at the NZIOB Building People Awards last year in the ‘Collaboration | Kotahitanga’ award category.
